If your country is not included in the visa-free regime, if you are planning to stay for over 60 days or if you are coming for other purposes than tourism, you can obtain a visa at the nearest Embassy or by applying online for an e-visa on this website . This new procedure takes three days. Fees depend on the duration of the visa you are asking for.
If you fall in love with Kyrgyzstan and want to extend your stay, you will have to register after 60 days. Citizens of some countries have to register already after 5 days in Kyrgyzstan: this should be checked before your arrival. Most countries in the visa-free regime list are exempt from this procedure.
If you entered the country with a visa you may extend it at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If you came without a visa you will have to leave the country and obtain a visa before re-entering.
